Oclansorb is 100% organic and non-toxic material which absorbs oil on contact. This oil absorbent is biodegradable and can be used on land and on water. Oclansorb is made from sphagnum peat moss and will absorb oil and hydrocarbons but not water. It is 15 times more absorbent than clay, translating into one 18 pound bag of Oclansorb being as effective as 450 pounds of clay. This improves the efficiency of clean-up operations as only 1 bag of Oclansorb replaces the shipping and handling of nine 50 pound bags of clay. On land, apply Oclansorb over the area with hydrocarbon contamination and lightly brush the Oclansorb around. The surface can be dry or wet, as Oclansorb does not absorb water. The oil is absorbed on contact, and the captured volumes can be disposed of in landfills or incinerated (as approved by local authorities). On water, cover the oil with Oclansorb as completely as possible. In wavy or flowing conditions, a boom should be used to concentrate the oil. The hydrocarbon will absorb on contact with Oclansorb, and mixing the material to expose more surface area to the hydrocarbons increases absorption.

The FXE wireline-retrievable flapper valve, which is normally closed, is held open by hydraulic control pressure from the surface. The valve operates on a hydraulic piston principle. To open, hydraulic pressure slightly higher than the well pressure is applied to move the piston downward. This pressure unseats the secondary seat, allowing pressure to enter through equalizing ports. Then, as additional hydraulic pressure is applied to the piston, it continues downward movement, pushing the flapper open. The flapper hinge assembly is designed such that the force on the piston is not applied directly on the hinge pin. Upon loss of hydraulic pressure in the control line, the valve’s large spring serves to lift the hydrostatic head of the control fluid. The flapper spring is designed to close the valve when the piston moves up past the flapper. Opening Prong Nose Seal The FXE valve uses the valve housing as the downstop for the opening prong. This metal-to-metal (MTM) interface is designed to prevent flow from passing between the valve housing and the opening prong. The MTM interface isolates the flapper and seat from fluid flow while the valve is open. This design creates an MTM interface with the full force exerted by the hydraulic piston, minus the spring compression force, holding the two metal faces in contact. Split phase options Two units can be stacked to provide 120-0-120 V, and additional units can be paralleled up to a total of 6 units per phase, to supply up to 30 kW / 36 kVA of split phase power. Alternatively, a split phase AC source can be obtained by connecting our autotransformer (see data sheet on www.victronenergy.com) to a ‘European’ inverter programmed to supply 240 V / 60 Hz. PowerControl - Dealing with limited generator, shore side or grid power The MultiPlus is a very powerful battery charger. It will therefore draw a lot of current from the generator or shore side supply (nearly 20 A per 3 kVA MultiPlus at 120 VAC). With the Multi Control Panel a maximum generator or shore current can be set. The MultiPlus will then take account of other AC loads and use whatever is extra for charging, thus preventing the generator or shore supply from being overloaded. PowerAssist - Boosting the capacity of shore or generator power This feature takes the principle of PowerControl to a further dimension. It allows the MultiPlus to supplement the capacity of the alternative source. Where peak power is so often required only for a limited period, the MultiPlus will make sure that insufficient shore or generator power is immediately compensated for by power from the battery. When the load reduces, the spare power is used to recharge the battery. Four stage adaptive charger and dual bank battery charging The main output provides a powerful charge to the battery system by means of advanced ‘adaptive charge’ software. The software fine-tunes the three stage automatic process to suit the condition of the battery, and adds a fourth stage for long periods of float charging. In addition to this, the MultiPlus will charge a second battery using an independent trickle charge output intended for a main engine or generator starter battery. The FRN wireline-retrievable flapper valve, which is normally closed, is held open by hydraulic control pressure from the surface. The valve operates on a hydraulic-piston principle. To open, tubing pressure slightly higher than the well pressure below the closed flapper is applied. Once well pressure is equalized across the closed flapper, hydraulic pressure is applied to the piston, which pushes the flapper open. The flapper hinge assembly is designed so the force on the piston is not applied directly on the hinge pin. Upon loss of hydraulic pressure in the control line, the valve's large spring serves to lift the hydrostatic head of the control fluid. The flapper spring is designed to close the valve when the piston moves up past the flapper. Opening Prong Nose Seal The FRN valve uses the valve housing as the downstop for the opening prong. This metal-to-metal (MTM) interface is designed to prevent flow from passing between the valve housing and opening prong. The MTM interface isolates the flapper and seat from fluid flow while the valve is open. This design creates an MTM interface with the full force exerted by the hydraulic piston, minus the spring compression force, holding the two metal faces in contact.
